BOCA RATON, FL — Developers broke ground in recent days on The Aletto, a 140,000-square-foot mixed-use development at Sanborn Square, marking the first high-end office space to be built in downtown Boca Raton in a quarter-century, according to supporters.
The development team — Compson Associates, and Alfredo Aletto – used a dozen gold spray-painted shovels for the groundbreaking, and an array of earth-moving equipment, to announce the start of construction.
The Aletto, at 123 E. Palmetto Park Road, will feature two office towers, ground-level retail, and a rooftop hospitality space steps from Mizner Park and the Brightline station.
The developers say their goal is to modernize Boca Raton’s professional landscape with Class-A office space and luxury amenities, including a private fitness center, concierge service, and a 550-car parking garage designed to minimize traffic impact on surrounding streets.
“We are so thrilled to be part of this exciting project and work alongside Carl Klepper and Bobby D’Angelo, who had the vision for this transformative and iconic project,” said Scott Brenner, an executive vice president at Colliers in a statement.
The Aletto has already secured several major office tenants, including Slavic 401(k), NSI Insurance, and flexible workspace provider Industrious.
The project will also introduce three new dining concepts, including a rooftop restaurant, a ground-floor Italian eatery and a steak-and-seafood establishment.
Compson Associates has partnered with NADG on the development. The team intends to utilize Bank of the Ozarks for the project’s first mortgage financing.
