Tenants began moving in last month to Compson Place Apartments in Boynton Beach, but officials celebrated the official grand opening Friday.
The 338-unit rental is the final phase of Compson Place, which is part of the 86-acre Renaissance Commons mixed-use development along Congress Avenue across from the Boynton Beach Mall.
Rents for the one-and two-bedroom apartments range from $1,199 to $1,400 a month
Boca Raton-based Compson Associates originally wanted to build the Santornini condominiums on the site but that was shelved in 2007 amid the housing meltdown. Compson Associates, the developer of Renaissance Commons, redesigned the Santorini project in 2011.
